In LA writer’s workshop I am attempting to write a book. It takes place in Rome, Italy, just before the fall of the Roman Empire. The main characters are a twelve year old girl and a twelve year old boy. They meet when escaping from a group of guards. These children are orphans who live on their own on the streets. Their parents were killed for opposing the taxes. They quickly decide to fight back and oppose the tax with other orphans they meet. Right now I only have five pages but I plan to write more.
