My advisory decorated pumpkins to take to the Duke Children’s Hospital. First, we ate lunch and then went back to our school. We each got a pumpkin and got a lot of things to decorate it with. We couldn’t carve the pumpkins because they would rot before Halloween. We went to the hospital, brought our pumpkins, and then they talked to us about their hospital. It was a really good experience and sad too because most of the children there are really sick. At the hospital they try to make the holidays as normal for the kids as they can so they don’t feel any different from other kids.

Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun decorating pumpkins! Did the children at the hospital get to see them when you got there?
Well some cam out but they were mostly in wheelchairs so we didn’t really get to see meet them or really like talk tot them but it was still cool.
Great story Lucy! Good job:)
I thought we did a great job on the pumpkins.
