Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins is the third and final book in the Hunger Games trilogy. Katniss was just rescued from her second Hunger Games, but Peeta was taken captive by the Capitol. District 12 was bombed and is no more. The few survivors, including Gale and his family, Prim, and Katniss’s Mother, were moved to District 13. After the first rebellion, people thought that District 13 was wiped off the map, but it was just recently discovered as having a self sufficient society underground. President Coin and the rest of the important people in District 13 are asking Katniss to be their Mockingjay, the face of the rebellion. She has no idea where Peeta is, until one day when she sees him on TV, he looks just as he did when she last saw him. But he is calling for a cease-fire, and everyone is calling him a traitor because of it. Eventually, Katniss agrees to be the Mockingjay, with a few conditions of course. now she has to protect the rebels, Peeta, and everyone else she loves. She has a chance of winning the war, but how many lives will it cost?

Mockingjay is a fast paced, surprising, and addicting book. Once you start, you just can’t stop. I could read the entire series 1,000 times, and each time it would get better and better!!!!!!!
