The Lion Makers Comic By Joanna

Lion and people

Our class chose one wisdom tale each and we made a comic about it. I chose The Lion Makers. In the Lion Makers, three people in India bring a lion back to life and get eaten while the person with common sense is in a tree and keeps living his life. The moral of this story is that common sense is just as important as academic knowledge. I chose this tale because it is interesting to me. I liked drawing the pictures a lot, and I used Skitch for drawing them. I used Skitch because I can acces the pictures easily from both a computer and an iPad. For the comic, I used Comic Life. Comic Life has lots of useful things, and it is easy to use.

In La, we made a comic for some of the wisdom tales that we read. We could pick any wisdom tale. I chose The Boatman from the Middle East. It was fun to draw our own pictures and design a comic. People used Skitch and Sketchbook Express to draw. I used Skitch. In class we had to write a summary and find out what the moral was for every story. We had stories from all over the world. I really liked making the comic.

Wisdom Tales Comic by Julia

After we finished taking our wisdom tales test, we made a Comic Life project for a wisdom tale of our choice. I chose the story Everyone Agrees to Peace. At first I tried using Skitch to draw pictures for my comic, but it wasn’t really working out too well so I just drew what I wanted on a piece of paper. Then, I took a picture of my drawings and inserted it into Comic Life. I then added all of my speech bubbles and titles. I liked doing this project because we got to be creative and it wasn’t very hard.

If I Woke Up and I Was An Adult I Would… by Matthew

I woke with a start. I got up and fell. I realized I was 7 feet tall! Over night I had grown two feet and two inches! I looked at the date. 2029? On December 18! 29 years old? Oh, wait 30! It was my birthday. I looked at the clock. 12:17 am. 1 minute away from 30. I looked at the seconds on my watch. 59 seconds! I had just enough time to think, “Last second of being in my 20s! Yay!” Then I looked at my clothes. I was wearing my dolphin pull over! Not just any pullover, the pullover I wore to my basketball games that I coached. The Dolphins! Located in Syracuse, NY! I remembered we had a 7:00 game! Time to get up!!!

I drove straight to the game. I had to swerve to avoid several car crashes. I finally made it. I coached our awesome game, which took up the whole day considering how many OTs we had. I drove home and crashed into a limo. I got out of the car, apologized, and ran home. I finally got there and crashed onto my bed. I fell asleep. When I woke up the next day, I was a kid! Was it just a dream? Or was it more?

what happened? Made on skitch my Matthew
