I like The Outsiders because it is very suspenseful when it comes to the middle of the book. This book is by S.E. Hinton. The most suspenseful part is when the kids are trapped in a fire and the three guys go save them. This book is very realistic because the main characters are in a gang. I don’t like what happened to one of the characters in the end because it was sad and not cool.
One day Harry the hippo was hanging out at his normal pond when this rat came along andbit his tail. The hippo jumped high up and screamed out, “OW!” The hippo was badly bitten inthe tail and had a disease that the rat carried but he didn’t know it. Slowly the hippo got angryand hit the rat and smooshed it into the ground. The rat was dead and the hippo didn’t knowwhat he would say to the other animals so he ran away.
He ran and he ran and he ran until he could see nobody else for miles. He saw people upahead and then he ran to see them. He started to walk around and see the people because hehad never seen those people before in his life. They looked like giants from his level. Then helooked at one person and they reached around in her pocketbook to find her phone. He heardher call the animal control!
Once they came they took him and put a cover around his head so that he couldn’t see.Then they shoved him into a truck and rushed him to the zoo. When they took it off of his headhe saw that he was somewhere different. He saw other animals around him trapped. Then herealized that he was trapped in a cage too. Harry was sad and lonely and he missed his home.And from that day on he was trapped in a cage forever.
The moral is “Don’t run away from your problems!”
For the past few days we have been working on a comic about our wisdom tales. I did the wisdom tale Blinded By Greed. Blinded By Greed is about a robber that goes in to a market to steal gold. When he steals it he is stopped by the citizens in the market. The moral to this story is: Don’t steal even if nobody is watching.
When I started to take the wisdom tales test for LA I thought that it was going to be a short easy little packet. It wasn’t, it was about five pages. It took me both periods of LA and some of tutorial to complete this test. It took me about five minutes each for the essay questions. I studied for this by taking notes and by asking questions about how to study. I do like open note tests because they relieve all of the stress if you are prepared for them.
On Friday I went to the doctors for my flu shot but I didn’t expect that it would hurt bad at all. The worst part about it was that it bled a lot and the doctor put it into the wrong part of my arm (into the muscle). It hurt for a couple of days and then I didn’t notice it at all, but when I left they put a pad on my arm so that it didn’t bleed out of my bandaid. And that was only the beginning of my Friday.
I did a presentation on Exclamation Marks. Exclamation marks are used at the end of an emphatic sentence or are meant to convey extreme emotion. You can remember this rule because if it is an emphatic sentence then that means that it is exciting and has an exclamation mark at the end of the sentence.

When our advisory went gleaning for community service I was excited for this but when it became a competition we started working harder. The bags kept coming and coming and so did the potatoes. There were some big potatoes and some small potatoes. My partner and I started to come up with a system for gathering potatoes. The system was that I was bagging the potatoes while he was picking them and bringing them to me. This was a good system until we noticed that the other group was gathering more potatoes than us. The worst thing was that this didn’t start out as a competition but it gradually kept getting more competitive as we went on. It ended up that we had 80 bags in all which is 800 pounds. I think that we did a good job with this community service project and it felt good to do for others.
I am proud of my writing in LA for the blog. I am proud of this because I worked really hard for this blog post and I put a lot of effort into this blog. This is one of the first blogs that I have ever done and I think that I am doing pretty well on it. My blog is about iPads and how I think that they are good and bad and reasons why I think that.
I think that iPads are good in some ways for this school and bad in others. The good ways are that they help us with homework such as fewer binders to take home and fewer textbooks to take to my classes. I also think that they are good because when I forget things in my locker it wouldn’t be something big, it would be something small because we don’t have a lot of textbooks or binders for any classes at all. I think that it is bad because when I want to do Google docs it doesn’t work as well as if I had a laptop. I also think that styluses are good for drawing but not typing because it is not convenient for me.
