In LA we are reading a book called Cosmic. In this book a boy named Liam ends up on a spaceship out of the earths orbit and he realizes that in this scenario he is no longer playing the part of a kid. This is what my life would be like if I woke up one morning and I were an adult.
I am 20 years old and I am living in Berlin because I took a gap year. I am taking an advanced German course, an art history course and a chemistry course at the community college down the street. My classes don’t start until noon and in the mornings I work at a cafe. In my free time I paint pictures and make stuffed animals and sell some of them. I have two cats called India and Star. When I have some extra money I take the train to different places in Europe like London, Paris, Vienna and Rome. On sundays while everyone is going to church I go to the flea market and buy tons of used books for my private library. Once I get enough training from working in the cafe I will go start working as a chef in a French restaurant.
That is what I would do if I woke up and was an adult. Thanks for reading.
I would love to go to Europe and see what it is like there. I think you would be very successful in Berlin. I would like to be in your situation in your story. Being a student and working at a cafe would be really cool. I like reading about what people think their future to be, and I have enjoyed this one the most. Great post Olivia. Can you describe some of the differences between here and Europe?
Europe is really great. There are lots of differences. One of them is that more cities are more Urban. Even in a very small town called Urbino (it’s in Italy) has an Urban feel to it. Also there are a lot of culture differences obviously. For example, in Switzerland most of the Swiss are very reserved. Not rude, but just not over friendly. That’s part of why I love Europe, everything can be so so different.
