There were several fun/challenging highlights of 6th grade. Something that I learned academically are some really good study habits. My favorite way to study is by using Quizlet! Every single teacher of mine were amazing! In 6th grade we got to go to Camp Cheerio. Camp Cheerio was sooo fun! I was a new student this year so at Cheerio I got to meet so many cool kids in are grade! These are just a few of many highlights from the 6th grade!

Memory for the Giver! By: Forbes C
In LA class we are reading The Giver. The main character, Jonas can receive memories. If I could give Jonas a memory I would probably give him the memory of when I got my first puppy. It says in the book that Jonas can’t remember things. He didn’t know what snow, sunshine, or sunburn was. I would tell Jonas that getting a puppy was so fun. You get to play around with them, feed them, take them on walks, and do all of that fun stuff.Â
The Giver! By: Forbes C
If I lived in the utopian world I would be a Nurturer. The reason why I would do this is because I LOVE BABIES!!!!! The best part of being a Nurturer is that you would get to spend time with a newborn baby everyday! Surprisingly I know how to change their diapers, calm them down, put them to bed, feed them, cloth them, play with them, and soo many more! I personally think being a Nurturer would be such a great job to have!
Our Quizlet Voicethread! By: Forbes, Audrey, and Cat
In LA, we just finished our Tech Project on Quizlet. We had a few careless mistakes. First of all, we were filming our project and one of the parents came in the library and was asking us a question while filming. Her voice ended up in the video so we had to shoot another video. Another thing that went wrong was that one of our partners was sick on the day that we had to finish filming. Luckily, we finished on time! Next, the day that Cat wasn’t there, we had to transfer our million screenshots into iMovie. Audrey and I didn’t know how to work iMovie at all! Lastly, our iMovie wouldn’t download into a VoiceThread. These our some of our challenges we had to face!
Spring Break 2012
This Spring Break was one of the best! EARLY Monday morning I met Maggie at the airport, so that we could fly to Jamaica together. When we first got to Jamaica it was about 3:00 so we rushed to our room and unpacked while searching to find a bathing suit to wear. 🙂 As we ran to the pool we decided to walk down to the beach. Along the sand were these random little shops with people’s stuff sitting on tables. There was soo much stuff that we liked so we dashed back up to the room and got our wallets. By the time we had finished shopping it was time to get ready for dinner. The next day we swam in both the pool and the ocean, shopped until we dropped, worked on our tan a.k.a SUNBURN, and just hung out. One of my favorite things that we did was swim with the dolphins. For example, you would be a little ways a way from the dock and the trainer and you would hold your hands out while the dolphins came swimming under and you would have to grab on to both of their fins, while they were pulling you. Another thing that you got to was tread water while waving your hands up and the dolphins would swim to you and then try to talk to you. Something else that I really enjoyed is getting to go to Montego Bay’s shopping center and look for souveniers. This is just a little bit about how amazing my trip really was!
Spring Break….!!!! By: Forbes
I cannot wait until March 4th. My mommy, my sister, and ME are going to be heading down to Jamaica. The thing that I am most looking forward to in Jamaica is getting my massage. I am also going to swim with the dolphins and I am going to work on getting myself a great SUNTANNN!!!!!!!! Last year I went to the Turks and Caicos and I might be posting about the differences of the resort. On thing that I already know about is that the Turks and Caicos resort was a kid-friendly but this one isn’t??
If I Woke And…
If I woke one morning as a grown up I would make sure that I have graduated college and met the man of my life at college. We would get married as soon as possible. Directly after we get married we would take a private jet to Fiji for the most delightful honeymoon EVER!!! After we get back from the honeymoon we would look for the best house to suit the family that I have planned. After we have been married for a little while we would think about having children. I have always wanted five kids, four boys, and one girl. I would drive around in a White Suburban and be the BEST MOM EVER!!!!!! We would have parties every weekend. My backyard for my children will have everything that they can imagine. This is the life that I am dreaming of as an adult.
We Made It By: Forbes
In 2011, I had MANY things that have placed a huge impact on my life. This past week my aunt just had twins. We had been keeping them in our prayers for a long time because they were very sick. My aunt had one boy and one girl. The little girl’s name is Mary Catherine and the boy’s name is Wood. I haven’t met them yet because they literally just got home from the hospital. I think that my mom and I are going to go visit them right before Christmas. I have already bought their Christmas presents!
The thing that I am looking most forward to in 2012 when I first get back is to babysit the twins. I will have to feed them, change their diapers, put them to sleep, and play with them. I want to take them on several walks. I will also have their older sister to help me babysit. She is 5 years old and the CUTEST thing in the world. I can not wait until I get to babysit them.
Something I am Thankful for! By: Forbes C
I thankful for many things in the world. I am probably most thankful for is my family. I have a wonderful family who loves me and takes care of me. My mom and Dad clothe me and feed me. My siblings keep me company and they care for me as well. Â I am also thankful for my home. If I didn’t have a home I wouldn’t be able to do any of the things I have above.

Reflection on Laptops! By: Forbes C
I really like having a laptop. When I first received it I felt very trusted, excited, and scared. I get to bring this home and to every class with me until sometime in February! I have this application called Evernote. Evernote is a note taking system that allows you to work on homework, projects, tests, quizzes, and many more. Another thing you have to do with your laptop is take care of your laptop. It is a very big responsibility. You have to make sure it is charged.
