The Lady Or The Tiger?

By Nate

Then as the man walked toward the doors the crowd became silent. The princess would never lie to me, he thought as the doors drew near. The man lifted the creaky, rusty latch of the gold plated doors. As they creaked open, the last thing he saw was the wide open jaws and spreading claws of the tiger. Then he fell down and heard the wail of the mourner, the scream of the crowd, and the princess laughing in a horrible tone. He thought if the princess can’t have me I guess nobody can and then drifted into blackness.

If I Was A Grown Up For A Day by Nate

If I was a grown up for a day I would live in the USA in North Carolina. I would have a Dodge Viper and live in a regular size house. I would travel all over the world and have fun meeting new people and going to places I’d never been. I would also try to help people in need as much as I could in poor countries.

My current book by Nate V

The book that I am reading right now is called Fire and it is in the Graceling series by Kristin Cashore. I chose this book because the other two books in the series were very suspenseful and interesting. This book has started out without much suspense in it but it is still interesting so far. I highly recommend this book if you like books that take place in the Middle Ages.

Wisdom Tale by Jack. H

There once was a flock of sheep. In the flock there was a sheep called Baptiste and all the other sheep thought he was so cool. One day the farmer got Baptiste in a bag and brought him in so the farmer could cut his fur.

There was another sheep called Ferdinand. Ferdinand did not think Baptiste was cool. Because he did not like Baptiste people did not like him. They made fun of him and played jokes on him but Ferdinand did not mind.

When Baptiste got back all the sheep wanted their fur to be like his, all but Ferdinand. So the farmer got the sheep and got all their fur. Ferdinand wanted his fur because it would be winter and that meant cold. When winter came they all, but one, froze and got cold. They asked if he would sleep next to them but he said, “No.”

They asked if he would give some of his fur. He said,”No!”

All but Ferdinand froze to death. The farmer asked Ferdinand why he had not followed the pack. I knew it would be winter in a few days. That meant it would be cold and I wanted to be myself and not do things just to fit in or be normal.

The moral is be yourself and don’t do things just to fit in or be normal.

The Ranting Rooster by Nate V

The Ranting Rooster

Once in India there was a very proud and talkative rooster named George that like to

boast about how powerful he was. One day another rooster said to george,

“if you are so brave then you wouldn’t be afraid to take the claw of a tiger”.

“No I would not said george”. So he set out. on the fourth day of traveling he came

upon a tiger’s cave. Inside he saw a sleeping tiger. He took scissors and cut one of the tigers

claws off. But then the tiger woke up! He chased george and came so close that he shaved

the rooster’s tail feathers off. George never bragged again.

Moral-Don’t brag

Wisdom Tales Test By: Ryan

I thought that since we had our iPads, we had all the answers right in our hands for the Wisdom Tales test. It seemed like a very easy task for me to complete. How I prepared was that I looked at every different type of moral and thought why that story’s moral was that moral. I felt that the matching part was easy especially because I highlighted my key words. I admit that the essay part was a little boring and it made my hand hurt after a while. I would definitely feel more comfortable if the typing was done on the iPad. I do like taking open note tests and they aren’t as hard as I thought. I enjoyed the test!

Wisdom Tales Test by Nate V.

Today we took an open not test on wisdom tales. I prefer open note tests because you don’t get as stressed about them. You still have to study though! To prepare for the test I read through all my wisdom tales again and worked on memorizing types of stories. It was good having an iPad to hold all my notes. I think it was easier to organize them. The only problem was that my wisdom tales document was so big it took a long time to load! Overall I think the iPad helped a lot!

Favorite Books Quarter 2 by Davi

It’s me again. I have made this blog post again to find out what books people like. Last quarter the favorite book was Harry Potter and the favorite author was Rick Riordan. This quarter I’m hoping that we get some other authors and books to win. Only post books that you’ve read recently, so that Harry Potter doesn’t win every time. Thanks.
