I like The Outsiders because it is very suspenseful when it comes to the middle of the book. This book is by S.E. Hinton. The most suspenseful part is when the kids are trapped in a fire and the three guys go save them. This book is very realistic because the main characters are in a gang. I don’t like what happened to one of the characters in the end because it was sad and not cool.

The Mark of Athena by Nathan
Okay so first this is a great book!!! If you need a book to read I would read the series, “The Heroes of Olympus”, which this book is in. Now to tell you about the book. Percy is back for those Percy Jackson fans, along with six other demigods in this book!
There is something new in this book, Romans! Three of the demigods are Roman: Frank, Hazel, and Jason. Then there are the Greek’s: Percy, Annabeth, Leo, Piper. These seven have gained each other’s trust earlier in the series doing quests that have saved both the Roman and Greek camps. Gaea is awakening and if she does the world will end. The ultimate test for the seven is stopping her. This includes battling many monsters, sailing on the mare nostrum (Mediterranean sea) which is banned to sail on because of all the sea monsters, and making it to Rome in one piece. Could it be any easier? Joking! Will they save the world or die along with everyone else? This is another great book by Rick Roidan!
A Book You Need To Read! By Frederick C.
If you need a book to read, you’re covered! I recommend A Dog’s Purpose, by W. Bruce Cameron. It may seem a little long, with about 570 pages, but you won’t be able to stop reading! I liked this book because it was unique, talking about an amazing dog going through totally different lives. The other reason is that W. Bruce Cameron has a great imagination and can turn that into great books. As the dog goes through different lives, it also goes through different purposes as well.

Why I Am Reading Alex Rider Batu
I am reading the Alex Rider books because of their suspense and action. Alex was taken by MI6 and trained to be a spy. He was sent on missions to save the world. He was not to happy when he needed MI6’s help when they denied it and said that that person was not up to something bad. In the end the person was trying to nuke some place in the world and Alex stopped him and saved the world.
Book Review: Grace, Gold, and Glory by Miriam
Did you watch the 2012 summer Olympics? If you did, then you have heard of or seen the AMAZING Gabrielle Douglas preform for the USA women’s gymnastics team. Grace, Gold, and Glory: My Leap of Faith, tells her incredible story. Gabby Douglas wrote the book herself! It’s truly inspiring and very interesting to read.
It tells about everything, from her time as a child living in a Dodge Mini Van, to the time in January 2012 when she went to Des Moines Iowa to train for the Olympics, and she got so homesick that she wanted to quit gymnastics! I loved reading it and was sad once I finished. You also learn a lot about the huge part of her life that was influenced by God. This book was the BEST biography I have ever read (and I have read a lot of biographies)!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am currently reading the Red Kayak by Priscilla Cummings. It is a very suspenseful and action-full book. It is a great page turner that I will probably finish tomorrow. I chose to read this book because it was in a book talk and the summary seemed very mysterious. It seemed like a good book. I really like this book so far! Have any of you read this book? If so, what is your favorite part? (No spoilers!)
“The Hunger Games” Book Review by Kay Y.

I am currently reading The Hunger Games again. I have read this trilogy of books by Suzanne Collins many times. I really like her style of writing, so after I finished The Hunger Games trilogy I read her other series, Gregor The Overlander. The Hunger Games are classified as science fiction, the first book is very action packed, with a little bit of romance making this a best seller novel.
The Hunger Games takes place in the future of North America that has turned into one country called Panem. Panem is divided into 12 districts plus the Capitol. The Hunger Games as an annual event held to show the Capitol’s power over the districts in honor of the 13 districts rebellion. The districts have to offer a boy and a girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to fight to the death, only one out of the 24 children survive. The story is told from the perspective of a 16 year old girl Katniss Everdeen who volunteered for her 12 year old sister. She doesn’t want to, but she knows when the time comes she will kill if she has to. This is a great book, and my favorite series!
“Children of the River” by Julia
Right now I am reading the book Children of the River by Linda Crew. The book is about a girl name Sundara who has just fled Cambodia with her aunt’s family and is trying to fit in at an American high school. I really like this book because it shows us how different our lives are than many other people, and that we should be grateful for what we have because some people don’t even know if their family is alive anymore.
I was in the library looking for the sequel to a different book that I had just finished when I found this book. I read the back and it sounded really interesting. Also, Children of the River won the International Reading Association Award so I figured that it would be a great book.
This book is not for everyone, but if you like fiction and are okay with reading a pretty long book, than I think you would like this book.
Twilight Book Review By: Lucy W.

Right now I am reading the Twilight Series. I really like it because something always happens. It’s so hard to put down when I start reading it. I also like the suspense. I am on the third book, Eclipse, and I have really enjoyed the others. This book, I think, has been the most suspenseful. Even though I have seen all the movies, the books are so much better. These books are really good, and I want to keep reading them until the end of the series.
