I Am Thankful For… By Kay Y.

I am thankful for many things! But one thing in particular that I’m thankful for is my dog. I got her about six years ago. She’s a beagle lab retriever mix, she’s mostly a milk chocolate brown, but she does have some white and some black. I love her for many reasons, one thing is for sure, she is a great alarm clock. Whenever my door is left even slightly open she comes running in and jumps on my bed. You can always count on her to finish off your meals, even if you didn’t want her help she sometimes gets it her way anyway.

But like any dog she has her down sides, like recently she’s eaten two of my favorite pairs of socks in the last two weeks! The second time wasn’t really her fault, as much as it was my sister’s, my sister had the brilliant idea to make a game out of seeing if she could hit my dog with her socks. My dog is still very lovable, and I will always love her.

This summer when I was away from home for nine weeks I missed her so much! She often goes crazy when we come home from what’s normally only six weeks away from home, but this year she went insane! I love my dog, and she plays with me all of the time! My dog is very playful, and she always keeps me company! She is very fun to be with, and I am very thankful to have her.

I’m Thankful For… By Anna W.

I am thankful for many things. I am very thankful for having pets, mainly my dogs. I love them a lot and I really think they cheer people up. I mean I don’t think I would have such a happy life without them. Sometimes I will come home from school sad, and guess what? The first thing I see when I walk into my house is my dogs coming to greet me. This same thing happens when I come home from trips, come out for breakfast in the morning, etc. it seems like they just stick by your side. If you say ” Walky” they jump up and start barking because they love going on walks.

The minute I sit down to eat a meal they sit at my feet waiting for me to drop food. I’m not kidding I’ll see them sound asleep in their bed then seconds later they will be running around and tackling each other. One of my dogs is the runt and well I guess I wouldn’t say she is ugly but you know she is not that attractive. That doesn’t mean anything to me. I love her so much and just seeing her sleep or roll over on her back makes me smile immediately. Most of my friends have big dogs but I am so glad I have a dog that can sit on my lap hide under the chairs, climb over fences, let me carry her like a baby, and most of all make me laugh all the time. I feel like I have company 24/7. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have a dog.

I’m Thankful For… By Davi S-G

I’m thankful for my golden retriever Sky. He has been with me since I was born, and even before that. My dog Sky is thirteen in human years, which makes him ninety-one in dog years. When I come home from school, or any activity, Sky is always there to greet me in his doggy way: wagging his tail, and sniffing my clothes and backpack. Sky is very lazy, and he sleeps all day. My family has to trick him to go outside. We ring the doorbell, making him think that there is someone outside, which makes him jump up and run to the door. If that doesn’t work, then we bribe Sky with his dog food. Sky basically owns my house. He sleeps anywhere he wants, as long as my dad make him go away. Because he’s so old, in January I’m giving sky a puppy. I hope that Sky will take care of the puppy, and be like it’s dad. In conclusion, I’m thankful for my dog Sky because he comforts me in times of need.

I am grateful for chocolate Labrador Monte. Monte is 8 years old and loves food even though he is only 70 lbs.! Monte is energetic and plays with me and my brothers every day. Our family often enjoys playing our favorite prank on him. We take a paper grocery bag and put it on his head. He then angrily tears it off his head and begins the show. He attacks the bag and rips it into a hundred pieces and then wags his tail for another fight. He loves to go on walks and enjoy our company. He is a great companion. Our family loves him and I am proud that we have Monte for our dog.

I’m Thankful For… By Jack. H

I’m thankful for my dog. Ever since my other dog had to be put down, I wanted another dog. So we went to a dog breeder that lived a few hours away. When we got there for the first time all the dogs were really small. The second time they had grown a little. The reason I’m thankful for him is because if I’m feeling down he comes over to cheer me up. He may not be the smartest dog in the world but he is good enough for me.

Dogs By Katie

Dogs are sweet animals. Dogs live for about ten to thirteen years (one dog year is seven human years). There are many types of dogs. Dogs take a lot of care. You need to make sure you feed the dog and take them on walks. They make great pets for families with little or older kids. You can have a small dog or a big dog.  I have a dog. I got him when I was about five or six years old. He is always there for me and I love him. He is fun to play with. Dogs make the best pets.
